An Unexpected Surprise In The Philippines ()

Ah, the Philippines. I was happy to be back. I didn't have much of a plan on this trip, I just wanted to go somewhere off the beaten path. Laoag City, in the far north of Luzon, seemed like an interesting place to start. It was the home of the Marcos dynasty, whose son was the current president. Little did I know, the president was actually visiting the city that week -- I had to try my luck and see if I could meet Bongbong. Who wouldn't, with a name like that. Along the way, I formed a new gang, received some of the best hospitality of my life, and discovered what a Filipino empanada looks like.
